A healthy spine is key to a healthy body
Saturday, July 16, 2022. Eurythmy Room, Glasshouse College, Amblecote, DY8 4HF AND live streaming via zoom. 10am - 12:30pm
Around 4 in 5 adults experience low back pain at some point in their lives. It often occurs when there’s a disruption, sudden or gradual, between the workings of the spine, muscles, ligaments, discs or nerves. As we know, our sedentary lifestyle does our back no favours!
It’s essential to keep the spine as strong, and mobile as possible – and this will help us to be more energised, able, strong and mobile more generally in life as well.
*we’ll focus on mobilising, strengthening and energising this incredible part of our anatomy
*the aim is to feel more flowing, more inwardly connected, more mobile, stronger, and more conscious and confident of our spines and our whole being
*the workshop will also include breathwork, a long relaxing savasana (relaxation) and music.
No experience of yoga is necessary. Openness and willingness to try to be receptive to ourselves at a deeper level than we are used to in our ordinary day to day lives would be helpful.
Pre-booking essential as space will be limited. If you would like to bring a yoga mat and blanket feel welcome to; otherwise they can be provided. Bring a drink and a snack for your break if you wish.
